Peaceable Wisdom

James 3:16-18

For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Fear the Lord

Prov. 31:30

"Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,

But a woman who fears the LORD,

she shall be praised. "

a loyal heart

"Then he [Hezekiah] turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the LORD, saying, 'Remember now, O LORD, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what was good in Your sight.'"

II Kings 20 2-3

Quiet

"that you also aspire to lead a quiet life,

to mind your own business,

and to work with your own hands,

as we commanded you"

I Thes 4:11

Prov. 24: 30-34

"I went by the field of the lazy man,

And by the vineyard of the man devoid of understanding;

And there it was, all overgrown with thorns;

Its surface was covered with nettles;

Its stone wall was broken down.

When I saw it, I considered it well;

I looked on it and received instruction:

A little sleep, a little slumber,

A little folding of the hands to rest;

So shall your poverty come like a prowler,

And your need like an armed man."

Messiah

"We have found the Messiah."

Faith

"how beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation..." Is 52:7

"the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor." Gal 3:24-25

"the mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, he will quiet you with His love..." Zephaniah 3:17

The Holy Spirit renews us

"... be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men. For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serrving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but accoring to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit..."
