Forgiveness

Are you angry at someone?
Are you frustrated by someone's behavior?
Is there a person or situation that you find that you cannot forgive?

Blessed are the peacemakers.......keep that in your thoughts.

We MUST forgive. As followers of Christ we have no other option.

Forgive as Christ has forgiven you.

Every time I have difficulty forgiving I find that I do the same exact thing that I'm so miffed about-- even if that same exact thing is light-years away from my usual demeanor.

When I see that I am as guilty as the one who I'm feeling unforgiving towards then it becomes very easy to forgive.

I'm sometimes disappointed by people but when I think long enough I will see a time in my life where I did the same. Even if I have to go back a few decades.

We are all frail and sinful and the flesh is weak. Love covers a multitude of sins.

The Lord Jesus bless you as you strive for peace.

They received the word with great eagerness, examining the scriptures daily, to see whether these things were so. Acts 17:11

Forgiveness only comes when you completely admit that you also are at fault.

It is hard though.

Being disappointed with someone is something that comes with the territory of opening yourself up to friendships...

I have forgiven. And I have moved on.

I think there are situations like rape for example where one party may not actually be at fault.

Then the victim has to forgive anyway.

Thank you for your comment Maria, it's good to hear from you.

Clevsea,

Forgiveness can be a difficult thing to do somethings, but it is a very necessary thing, for it's not good for our hearts to continually store-up strife and bitter feelings. This will only destroy our soul.

I found your nice blog via my friend Mrs. Q's blog at "Blessed Homemaking." I'm glad I found it. It looks very encouraging. :)
